Official: Local Production of NETA Electric Cars to Begin Next May 2024

Jakarta, 6 Maret 2024 – Leading electric car distributor in Indonesia, PT NETA Auto Indonesia (NETA), officially announces the commencement of CKD assembly of cars in May 2024. In collaboration with PT Handal Indonesia Motor, the assembly will take place at the Ungu Bekasi Factory in West Java and will commence with the assembly of their flagship electric car, the NETA V, for the initial phase. This step reflects NETA's commitment to seriously penetrate the Indonesian automotive market since its debut at the GIIAS 2023 event.
"After successfully signing an agreement with PT Handal Indonesia Motor last November 2023, we are finally starting the assembly of NETA V as our commitment to meet the needs of the Indonesian market. In the future, at the PT Handal Indonesia Motor factory, we also plan to produce the latest NETA lineup that we will introduce in Q2 2024," said Fajrul Ilhami, GR & Product Director.
With a capacity of up to 27,000 units per year, the local assembly process of NETA products at PT HIM will be implemented in the form of completely knocked down (CKD). The decision to produce locally in Indonesia is not only a manifestation of NETA's global expansion strategy but also NETA's commitment to introducing electric cars with advanced and smart technology for all segments, in line with their principle, Tech For All.
NETA Indonesia is not only committed to bringing flagship products to the Indonesian market but also provides various long-term benefits and added value for consumers. Welcoming the month of Ramadan, NETA offers a special price of Rp 317,000,000 for OTR Jabodetabek during March 2024, as well as premium after-sales services from the beginning of ownership, including Lifetime Warranty Unlimited Periods and free Maintenance & Spareparts Costs up to 50,000 km or 5 years to ensure the NETA V remains optimal.
"By starting local assembly, NETA hopes not only to meet the needs of the public but also to provide penetration to build an environmentally friendly electric vehicle ecosystem in Indonesia," concluded Fajrul.
