Jakarta, July 28, 2025 – Amid the growing trend of environmentally friendly vehicles, electric cars are increasingly gaining popularity among the public as an efficient and sustainable solution for daily transportation. Whether for urban commuting or intercity travel, electric vehicles offer a range of advantages — from futuristic designs and advanced technologies to ease of operation.
One electric vehicle that has captured attention is the NETA X, which comes equipped with a host of modern features designed to enhance driving comfort and convenience. One standout feature that adds significant value for consumers is Towing Mode — a system specifically designed to assist users with parallel parking, a common challenge in densely populated urban areas with limited parking space.
The Towing Mode, accessible via the NETA X Head Unit, allows users to perform parallel parking more efficiently without the need for a manual key. This user-friendly technology enhances the vehicle's flexibility when it needs to be repositioned — for instance, by parking attendants — without the need to manually activate the full vehicle system.
The introduction of this feature reflects NETA’s commitment to delivering innovative solutions that prioritize user comfort and convenience, especially for those navigating high-mobility lifestyles in major cities.
For those looking to learn more about how to easily perform parallel parking with the NETA X electric vehicle, here is a quick step-by-step guide:
1. Accessing Towing Mode via the NETA X Head Unit
On the NETA X Head Unit, go to the Settings menu, then select My NETA. Within this section, choose Vehicle Status and then Vehicle Maintenance. There, you will find the Towing Mode option. In English, this appears as “Towing Mode.”
Click on the Towing Mode option. A message will appear stating that once activated, the vehicle will remain in Neutral (N) mode. You will then see options to toggle the system ON or OFF. While pressing the brake pedal, tap ON on the screen to activate the mode.
Once activated, a transmission indicator will appear as [N] or NEUTRAL on the NETA X’s Digital Instrument Cluster.
2. Locking the Doors and Pushing the NETA X
After completing the Head Unit setup, NETA X users can lock and unlock the doors as usual, then attempt to manually push the vehicle.
According to Wahyu Handaya, Training Manager at PT Neta Auto Indonesia, this parallel parking feature accessible through the Head Unit provides significant convenience for NETA X users.
“Users no longer need to use a manual key, making the parking process more practical and efficient,” he explained.
By understanding how to use this parallel parking feature, NETA consumers will find it much easier to park in tight spaces. This innovation not only enhances practicality in electric vehicle usage but also demonstrates NETA’s dedication to providing modern mobility solutions that adapt to the needs of today’s urban lifestyle in Indonesia.
