Safe Tips for Handling a Stuck Charging Gun While Charging the NETA V-II
30 September 2025

Jakarta, September 30, 2025 – Public interest in NETA electric vehicles in Indonesia continues to rise, making them an increasingly popular choice for daily transportation. Ideal for both urban commutes and intercity travel, electric vehicles offer numerous advantages—from futuristic designs and advanced technologies for comfort and safety, to ease of use and low maintenance. In addition, faster and more practical battery charging processes make electric vehicles an efficient, energy-saving, and environmentally friendly mobility solution.
Electric vehicles have become an integral part of the modern lifestyle, emphasizing efficiency, convenience, and environmental awareness. Among the standout models in Indonesia’s automotive market is the NETA V-II, a stylish and futuristic electric car equipped with a range of modern features that enhance daily driving comfort, safety, and practicality.
However, as EV usage becomes more widespread, it’s important for users to understand the potential technical situations that may arise—including those during the charging process. One such issue is a charging gun becoming stuck or difficult to remove after charging is complete.
While this might seem like a minor inconvenience, it can cause concern—especially for new users. To help with this, here are some safe and effective tips for NETA customers to handle a stuck charging gun when charging the NETA V-II:
1. Use the NETA V-II Head Unit
From the NETA V-II head unit, go to the “My Car” settings menu, then select the left-side menu labeled “Charging Settings” and choose the option “Charger Gun Unlocking.” Once selected, try pulling the charging gun again.
If this method does not work, a two-person approach may help—one person selecting “Charger Gun Unlocking” on the head unit while the other simultaneously attempts to pull out the stuck charging gun.
2. Manual Release via the Lever Under the Hood
As an alternative to the head unit, you can manually release the charging gun by opening the hood. On the right-hand side near the battery, there is a small rectangular cover that can be easily opened using a small lever. Inside, you’ll find a black cord, which may still be caught or entangled within the compartment.
Carefully untangle the cord and pull it straight out slowly, while someone else gently pulls the charging gun at the same time.
Once the gun is successfully removed, be sure to return the black cord to its original position.
3. Using the NETA V-II Key Remote
If the previous methods do not work, you can also use the NETA V-II key remote. Before doing so, ensure that all four doors of the vehicle are open, then press the lock button twice on the key remote. After that, try removing the charging gun again.
Esa Fajar S., After Sales Manager at PT Neta Auto Indonesia, explained:
“The most efficient method when the charging gun on your NETA V-II gets stuck is to manually pull the black release cord under the hood while simultaneously removing the charging gun. However, don't forget to check the app to ensure the charging session has been completed—this must be done first,” he emphasized.
He added:
“If none of the three steps work, we strongly recommend that NETA customers contact our 24-hour Call Center for immediate assistance from our technical support team.”
By understanding how to respond to unexpected situations such as a stuck charging gun, NETA users can feel more confident and supported during the charging process. These tips not only enhance convenience and driving comfort but also reflect NETA’s commitment to delivering modern mobility solutions tailored to the needs of urban communities in Indonesia.
