Jakarta, March 18th 2023 – Following its strategic move to commence local assembly of electric vehicles in CKD form starting May 2024, PT NETA Auto Indonesia (NETA), Indonesia's leading electric vehicle distributor, has officially partnered with PT Gotion Green Energy Solutions Indonesia for the provision of electric vehicle batteries. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony took place today (3/18) at PT Handal Indonesia Motor, Bekasi, West Java. This partnership strengthens NETA's commitment to increasing domestic component content (TKDN) for NETA V and other models in the future.
"NETA's commitment is not only limited to introducing electric vehicles with advanced technology to the Indonesian market but also to actively contribute to supporting the government's efforts in the overall development of the electric vehicle ecosystem. Therefore, we are not only focused on local assembly but also strive to increase local component development to meet a minimum standard of 40%," said Mr. Liu Lei, Commissioner of PT NETA Auto Manufacturing Indonesia.
PT Gotion Green Energy Solutions Indonesia is a global energy company that has invested in Indonesia since 2022, focusing on the production of electric vehicle batteries. "Indonesia has great potential in the global growth of electric vehicles. Therefore, we are committed to actively participating in the transition process towards the electric vehicle ecosystem in the country, by producing electric vehicles and using quality local components. This collaboration is a crucial step in realizing our vision and mission to provide advanced and quality electric vehicles for all segments of the Indonesian market," concluded Liu Lei.
