Jakarta, June 19, 2024 - The Minister of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia, Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, visited Beijing, China on June 12, 2024 to discuss the agreement to make Indonesia an export production base hub country. On this occasion, the Minister of Industry and four electric vehicle companies, one of which is NETA Auto Overseas, agreed and will contribute to expanding Indonesia's electric car export market.

Mr. Zhou Jiang as Vice President of NETA Auto, said, "We agree and support, to make Indonesia a hub of right-hand drive EV production for the export market. And of course, we will also commit to meet TKDN up to 60% by the end of 2026 as our effort to meet the Indonesian Government program. We hope this NETA agreement and commitment will advance the country's electric car industry."

During the meeting, the Government of Indonesia also set a target for the production of electric vehicles in 2030 to reach 600 thousand units. With this, of course the government hopes that NETA, as one of Indonesia's electric car distributors, can contribute to increasing the production of right-hand drive electric cars and marketing them to 54 countries. Synchronization between Government support and the role of electric vehicle industry players is expected to be able to make the country's automotive market continue to advance to the ASEAN and foreign markets.

"We really appreciate the government, especially the Ministry of Industry, which has supported NETA in the process of utilizing incentives so that NETA can achieve a TKDN value of 44 percent for our new product, the NETA V-II. In the future, we are committed to continuing to follow the plans and steps of progress for electric car vehicles," concluded Mr. Zhou Jiang as Vice President of NETA Auto.
