NETA Indonesia Officially Begins CKD Production of NETA V-II

Jakarta, May 31th, 2024 – PT NETA Auto Manufacturing Indonesia, an electric vehicle manufacturer in Indonesia, has officially started local production through Completely Knocked Down (CKD) today. Located at PT Handal Indonesia Motor's factory in Pondok Ungu, Bekasi, West Java, NETA conducted the initial assembly for its latest model, the NETA V-II, which was launched last Wednesday (May 22, 2024).

This step marks a significant milestone in NETA's efforts to strengthen its position in the Indonesian electric vehicle market while supporting the government's program to increase the Domestic Component Level (TKDN). The inauguration of local production was attended not only by the management of PT NETA Auto Indonesia but also by representatives from NETA Auto Overseas, Mr. Kong Fanlong; and PT Handal Indonesia Motor, Mr. Denny Siregar, who expressed full support for this local production initiative.

"Today, NETA officially begins the initial stage of mass production of our electric car, the NETA V-II, through CKD. We thank the Indonesian Government, PT Handal Indonesia Motor, as well as our partners and colleagues who have supported our efforts to commit to delivering advanced, premium, and high-quality electric cars locally. This moment marks an important history for NETA, as we have successfully expanded into Indonesia. We believe this step will not only strengthen our position in the market but also significantly contribute to the development of the automotive industry in the country," said Kong FanLong, Co-founder & Co-President of Neta Auto.

The event started with a signing ceremony marking the strategic partnership between PT NETA Auto Indonesia and PT Handal Indonesia Motor. The signing symbolizes the commitment of both parties to deliver high-quality electric vehicles with a touch of local production. The event continued with the inauguration of the production process, showcasing the symbolic assembly of the NETA V-II electric car from start to finish.

The NETA V-II, as the latest lineup, is not only produced locally but also has a TKDN of 44% thanks to the support of PT Gotion Green Energy Solutions Indonesia as the supplier of eco-friendly Lithium Ferro-Phosphate (LFP) batteries. Since its introduction at the Periklindo Electric Vehicle Show 2024, the NETA V-II has recorded up to 200 booking orders.

"This achievement is a concrete step for NETA in meeting government regulations regarding the use of local components and promoting the development of the domestic component industry. And of course, our commitment does not stop here, as we will continue to deliver high-quality electric cars and premium after-sales services for all segments in Indonesia. With the commencement of this initial production, we hope NETA can meet the market demand for smart and environmentally friendly electric cars in the long term, and furthermore to be the production base of NETA brand in order to support NETA product export from Indonesia to other countries," Kong FanLong concluded.
