Jakarta, 19th Dec 2024 –  NETA Auto Indonesia's journey as one of the leading electric vehicle (EV) distributors in Indonesia has marked an important milestone this year. Throughout 2024, NETA has achieved significant accomplishments, not only in the Indonesian market but also internationally.

 

Inspiring Global Achievements & Positive Performance in Indonesia

On a global scale, NETA has earned the title of No.1 Global Export EV Startup, a remarkable achievement that highlights its role as a pioneer in the electric vehicle industry. In Thailand, the flagship model NETA X captivated the market, securing more than 1,000 vehicle orders within just the first three days of its launch. Additionally, NETA reached a 22% market share in Thailand's electric vehicle market, marking the company’s success in international markets.

 

In Indonesia, NETA's journey throughout 2024 has recorded positive sales performance. At various national automotive exhibitions, named the Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week 2024, NETA secured 302 vehicle orders, while at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show 2024, the company recorded 327 orders. These events serve as clear evidence of the public's enthusiasm for electric vehicles as the future of mobility.

Expansion of Dealer Network

One of NETA Auto Indonesia’s main focuses in 2024 has been expanding its dealer network. By the end of the year, NETA successfully operated 20 dealerships across strategic locations in Indonesia. This network plays a crucial role in providing easier access to consumers while also offering high-quality after-sales services. This expansion is a clear demonstration of NETA's commitment to the wider community by providing advanced electric vehicles in line with the company’s vision, “Tech For All” Looking ahead to 2025, NETA plans to grow its dealer network to over 40 dealers, aiming for wider market penetration across Indonesia. This strategy aligns with the government’s efforts to accelerate the adoption of environmentally friendly electric vehicles and supports the growth of the EV ecosystem in the country.

 

In addition to focusing on the domestic market, NETA is also formulating an expansion strategy for international markets. In 2025, NETA will develop a more aggressive business plan to introduce its electric vehicle products and technology to overseas markets, with the hope that Indonesia will become an important operational hub in NETA's global plans. NETA is ambitious to make Indonesia one of the key markets for NETA Global.

 

To enhance the customer experience, NETA Auto Indonesia also introduced the NETA Auto App, an innovation that integrates connected car technology. The app allows customers to stay connected and have full control of their electric vehicle directly from their smartphones. With the NETA Auto App, drivers can explore various features of the NETA electric vehicle, monitor the vehicle's condition, and even receive automatic software updates. This app is a strategic step to strengthen NETA’s digital ecosystem while addressing the needs of modern consumers who prioritize connectivity and convenience.

 

NETA’s Strategy for 2025

As NETA looks toward 2025, the company has devised several ambitious strategies to strengthen its position in the national electric vehicle market. In addition to expanding its dealer network, NETA will introduce new and innovative products to continue meeting the dynamic needs of Indonesian consumers, while also supporting government efforts toward a sustainable environment. NETA also plans to expand collaborations with various stakeholders, including the government, industry players, and communities, to accelerate the transition to an electric vehicle era. With increasingly adequate infrastructure and progressive government policies, NETA is optimistic it can become a key player in realizing Indonesia's vision as an electric vehicle hub in Southeast Asia.

The signing ceremony was attended by executives from both organizations, including Peter Zhang, Managing Director of PT Neta Auto Indonesia; Denny Haryanto, Senior Vice President of Group Corporate Banking BCA; and Candera Liau, Head of Legal Solutions.
